PAMBA events include the Biennial PAMBA Conference, along with group sessions at the American Philosophical Association meetings and adhoc workshops.

The Biennial PAMBA Conference is a venue for invited and submitted presentations. In addition, we seek to support early career researchers with by sponsoring the PAMBA Prize:

Philosophy of Animal Minds and Behavior Association Essay Prize for Emerging Scholars. This prize is open to PhD students and those within 5 years of receiving their PhD. The winner receives a travel budget of up to $3000 CAD, gives the PAMBA Prize lecture at the PAMBA Conference, and the prizewinning paper will be published in Biology & Philosophy.

The second meeting of the Philosophy of Animal Minds and Behavior Association will be held at the University of Santa Barbara April 24-26 2025, hosted by Colin Allen. We are planning an exciting three days of talks and events, including a tour of the Coal Oil Point Natural Reserve to observe the plovers and other residents.
